The music ministry of Portobello Baptist has always tried to keep up to date with current hymns and songs. Organists of the church have included:
The Sanctuary Banner, which can be viewed in the Gallery of the History pages, was initiated in memory of Mr Douglas Livingstone.
During the ministry of Rev George Mitchell the music ministry was expanded to include a fiddler, two flutists and a trumpeter along with the then Deputy Organist on piano. Under Rev Alan Montgomery's leadership, the music ministry continued to develop with a generous gift of a digital piano from a member of the congregation. Latterly under the minsitry of Rev Donald Currie, the music ministry included two guitarists and vocalists.
